Ordering Guide
Each range of wedding invitation we offer comes with a complete set of co-ordinated wedding stationery to match.
Wedding Invitations
Once you decide the style of your wedding select a design to complement it. Your personalisation details will
be printed on high quality inserts. Go to Page 37 where you can view a range of traditional wordings to choose
from, or supply us with your own. Try to order your invitations 4 months before your wedding send your invites
out eight or ten weeks in advance and if you have any guests travelling from abroad give them as much notice
as possible. Generally, the main constraint to sending out your invites will be the finalisation of your guest
list. As soon as the final list is ready, you are! Do not be tempted to send invites out in batches (e.g. main
guests first then others later once you have finalised your list). This will only cause lots of awkward
phonecalls and/or insult friends and family. Make sure that you spell each guest's name correctly when you
write your wedding invitations. If you are unsure about the spelling of someone's name, look it up or contact
someone reliable. Also make sure you have everyones correct address and postcode to ensure your invitation
reaches them. Printed inserts and envelopes are included in the price.
Evening Invitations
These will be personalised with your evening reception details. Send them out two months before the wedding
to those not coming to the ceremony itself. Printed inserts and envelopes are included in the price.
Reply Cards
Reply cards can be sent with each invitation to make it much easier for your guests to respond to your
invitation. They are an excellent way of ensuring your guests reply. They have a standard personalised
message inside and the reply envelope is also personalised with your name and address. Enclosed within
the invitation, the wedding response card is always sent with a stamp affixed to a self-addressed envelope.
This helps to ensure that the bride and groom have an accurate count of the number of guests expected to
attend. An additional benefit of response cards is that they can also include the guests' meal preferences
or dietery requirements so just the right amount of food and drinks are ordered.
Order of Service and Order of the Day
These are detailed programmes of the days events and service or civil ceremony. You should order enough
for each guest as they provide an essential guide to the day. They should be ordered once you have
finalised the arrangements, usually two months before the wedding.
Thank You Cards
An essential way of expressing gratitude to your friends and relatives. All thank you cards come with a
standard message printed in all the thank you cards, if you would prefer a blank insert for you to write
your own message can also be inserted into your Thank You cards. Thank you cards are perhaps the most
forgotten part of the wedding. Couples concentrate so heavily on the ceremony and reception and all of
their collective elements that they forget. Everyone who attended the wedding should get a thank you
card - whether they brought you a gift or not. If they did bring a gift, it's okay to mention the gift
specifically in the thank you card. If they didn't bring a gift, then thank them for attending. Couples
or families who received one invitation should get one thank you card rather than sending one thank you
card per individual. Don’t forget to write a list as you open your presents!
Menu Cards
Order one for each guest if you are having a sit down meal or a couple for each table if it’s a buffet.
The invitation style menu shows your design on the front and then your menu details are printed on an
insert inside. On the left-hand side of the inserts details of the toasts can also be printed if required.
The perfect finishing touch to your continuous theme.
Place Cards
The simple way of seating your guests quickly and with as little fuss as possible. There are two options
available with the placecards. You can choose placecards that show the design only and are left blank for
you to write your guest's name. Alternatively, you can choose to have both the design and the names
of the Bride and Groom to be foiled in either gold or silver or printed onto the placecard.
